Rites Saturday for C.A. Johnson Rites Saturday For Johnson, 91

Funeral services for Omaha attorney Cecil A. Johnson will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Morning Star Lutheran Church, 331 S. 85th Ave. Johnson, 91, died Tuesday of Alzheimer's disease, said his wife, Harriet.

Johnson, born in Stratford, Iowa, attended Iowa State College in Ames and Southeastern University in Washington, D.C. He moved his family to Omaha in 1951 and was admitted to the Nebraska Bar Association the same year.
He served as legal adviser to several Omaha-based companies, including C.A. Swanson and Sons, Mutual and United of Omaha, Livestock National Bank and Woodmen of the World.

He also served on the board of Immanuel Medical Center. In 1994 he made a $ 1 million donation to Immanuel for the Johnson Cancer Center. In 1974 then-Gov. J.J. Exon named Johnson to fill a vacancy the Omaha Public Power District board.

Besides his wife, Johnson is survived by a daughter, Nadyne Millar of Omaha; and sons Franklin of Napa, Calif., and Richard of South Hadley, Mass.
