Direct Descendant thru his mother of Lt Col Gordon Hutchins of the American Revolution. Gordon Hutchins (1733-1815) commanded a company at Bunker Hill under Col. John Stark; was lieutenant-colonel at White Plains under Col. Nahum Baldwin. He also served in the Provincial Congress of New Hampshire. He was born in Harvard, Mass.; died in Concord, N. H.

Edward W. Wellington, Lawyer, received his law degree at Harvard University and was admitted to the bar in Massachusetts. He moved to Ellsworth, Kansas in 1878 and established a Real Estate and Loan business which developed into a prosperous enterprise. He was raised in Ellsworth Lodge No. 146 in 1881, and served as Master in 1890.
