Cecil J. McKindley, a lifetime area resident, passed away at the age of 91 on December 31, 2010. Mr. McKindley worked for Stockton Construction and Claud C. Woods as a heavy equipment operator for many years. Cecil worked hard all of his life, and he was a very loving man, always there for his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, watching the S.F. Giants, the 49ers, bull riding and he especially loved family gatherings. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 131, the Clements Buckaroos and the Operating Engineers. He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce McKindley. Devoted father of Lauri McKindley and wife Liz Newman of Stockton, Patti McKindley and wife Tracy Hollis of Fort Worth, TX and Marvin (Mack) McKindley and wife Becky of Monroe, WA. Loving grandfather of Melissa Burton (David), Jessica McKindley, Kelly McKindley, Katie McKindley and great grandchildren, Elena and Paige. Dear brother of Lester McKindley (Carlyn) and Vince McKindley. He was preceded in death by 8 siblings and he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, January 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, C A
There will be visitation at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA on Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
