Peggy Ann Lee Healey Griffey, 50, died Wednesday, April 6, 1994 at home, ending a valiant struggle with cancer.
Peggy was born August 11, 1943 in Huntington, Emery, Utah to Barbara Ellen Wilson and Lorence Alfred Lee. She graduated from Carbon High School, received a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Utah, and a Master's degree in Business Education from utah State University. Education was a very important part of Peggy's life and much of her life was devoted to teaching those around her, both in and out of the classroom.
Peggy was a beautiful person who touched the hearts of everyone who knew her because of her zest for life and her loving and giving nature her courageous spirit was an inspiration to her family and friends. Peggy was a devoted mother who gave selflessley to her children and grandchildren and was a constant source of love and support. We love you Mother and Nana, more than all the stars.
She is survived by her children and her spouses, Cheri and Gary Smith,of Smithsville, Utah; Kim and Gary Foster Nibley, Utah; Michelle Healey and Gary Smith St.Lake City, Utah and 6 grand children.
Peggy is also survived by her mother Barbara Nielson of Helper, Utah. Brothers and sisters, Mary Trujillo Pueblo, Colorado; Chuck Graham North Bend, Oregon; Bobby Lee Gardena, California; Aloma Saccamano Helper, Utah; Stanley D Lee Helper,Utah and Billy Preston Long Beach, California.
A Open House was held on Saturday, April 16, 1965 to celebrate Peggy's life at the Salt Lake City Marriott, Brighton Room. Part of Peggys ashes were scattered at sea and the rest were buried in Logan Utah Cemetery on Saturday May 13, 1995.
