Wendell LeMoyne Despain, 56, of Orem died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1983 in Provo.
He was born July 31, 1926 at American Fork to LeMoyne A. and Myrl Robinson Despain. He married Sarah Collard on March 11, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was an airplane pilot and flight instructor. He was a member of the Orem 90th LDS Ward and served an LDS Mission to France and Belgium.
Survivors include his wife of Orem: two sons and seven daughters, Marc Despain, Salt Lake City; Phillip Despain, Provo; Mrs Michael (Suzanne) Carr, Annabella; Mrs. Verl (Mary Ann) Hovey, Santaquin; Denise Despain, Christine, Melissa Despain, Jennifer Despain and Elizabeth Despain, all of Orem; six grandchildren; mother of Holladay; two sisters, Mrs. Marden (Gwen) Young, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Dennis (Marilyn) Faircough, Orem.
Funeral was Friday, Feb. 4, in the Orem 90th LDS Ward Chapel. Burial in American Fork City Cemetery.
