Burlington-John Seyller, 69, of Canton, Ill., died at 9 o'clock Sunday, Oct. 19 at his home following an illness of several months. He was born in Burlington, September 21, 1883, the son of the late John and Frances Clark Seyller. He was united in marriage to Grace Kinnick of Buda, who preceded him in death December 29, 1945. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Canton, where he was employed with C.B.&Q. Railroad. At the time of his death he was retired. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Leland Casson of Canton who resided with her father and cared for him, three sons, Walter Seyller, also of Canton, Ira Seyller of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Paul Seyller of Vannius, Calif., and six grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Elizabeth) Sester of Genoa and Mrs. Herman (Lillian) Laseman of Burlington, and five brothers, James and Edward Seyller of Plato Center, Henry Seyller of Burlington, Harry Seyller of Elgin and Alfred Seyller of Wisconsin. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Anderson, and one brother, William Seyller. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning, at 9 p'clock from the Catholic church at Canton of which he was a member, with burial in the church cemetery.

John was the son of John and Frances (Clark) Seyller. He married Grace Irene Kinnick and they had five children: Ira H., Estella Frances, Infant Seyller, Walter and Paul Kenneth.
