Raymond Ditter, 62, of Loyal, died Monday, Dec. 8, 1986, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. He was born June 10, 1924, in Marshfield, a son to Alfred and Frances Kohlman. He married Frances Birschbach on Nov. 23, 1943, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter. Mr. Ditter was in the well drilling business in Chilton before moving to Loyal in 1960, where he owned and operated Ditters Well Drilling until his retirement in 1985. He was a past president of the Water Well Drillers Association.

Survivors include his father of Johnsburg; his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Edward (Patricia) Balcom of Madison, Mrs. Phillip (Mary) Hanson of Durand, Mrs. Charles (Jo Ann) Pieppe of Hortonville, Mrs. James (Janet) Brandt of Manitowoc and Mrs. Paul (Eileen) Weller of Wittenberg; three sons, James of Loyal, Norman of Rockford, Ill., and Paul of Jericho; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Martin (Jane) Kraus of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Lee (Grace) Stenz of Mount Calvary. Preceding him in death were his mother, one daughter and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho. The Rev. Dennis Lynch will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Thursday at the church from noon until the hour of service. The Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, is in charge of arrangements.
