Mrs. Bettie Smith Adams was born to the parentage of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Smith in Hill County, Texas in 1888.

She united with the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Later she united with the Gholson Church of God in Christ where she served faithfully until her health failed.

She was married to Mr. Ennis Adams who preceded her in death. To this union were six children born: three boys and three girls. They were Mrs. Lucile Chappel of Waco, Louis Morris of Dallas, Alberta Adams of Grand Prairie, Leslie Adams of Waco, William Lee of Waco and Cassie Mae Boston of Dallas.

Left to mourn her home going are her six children, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild two aunts, Mrs. Addie Clark and Mrs. Bettie Robson both of Waco.
