Robert Lee Pearce 85 died Monday in a local hospital Services will be at 10 AM today in Woodlawn Church of Christ with Howard Norton Dan Vinzant Philip Flate officiating Burial will be in Bradshaw Cemetery Home2420range Mr Pearce was bom in Bell County and grew up in the Bradshaw area He was employed by shipyards in Richmond Calif -during World War II and later worked in Fresno Calif and Houston He helped start P-Crane Service in Abilene in 1959 He was a member of Union of Operating Engineers 450 and Woodlawn Church of Christ He was the widower of Faye Pearce whom he married in 1934 Survivors include one daughter Jane Norton of Searcy and one son David Pearce of Oskaloosa Iowa two sisters Bessie Buchanan of Pensacola and Doris Bradshaw of Gorman one brother Vernon Pearce of Fort Worth six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren Memorials may be sent to Hendrick Hospice Care PO Box 1922 Abilene 79604.
