Mary Lou Hancock Black, 76, passed away on September 25, 2011. She was born on December 27, 1934 to Donnie and Debrewel Joshua Hancock in Jasper, Texas. Her childhood was spent in Jasper, Texas where she graduated from jasper high school and then relocated to Houston, Texas to attend business school. She worked for Sterling Electronics and retired from Poole Company in 1998 from the contracts department. She is survived by her loving husband and high school sweetheart, G.A. Black; brother, D.J. Hancock (Katherine) of Jasper, TX; daughter, Donna E. Gustin (Bradford) of Denver, CO; stepsons, Mark Black (Margie) of Houston, TX; Brian Black (Charlotte) of Bandera, TX; Kevin Black of Houston, TX; Clint Black (Lisa) of Nashville, TN; and 11 grandchildren. She will be laid to rest at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 pm prior to the service. Graveside committal will be immediately following the service at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
