Mrs. Mary Brewer, widow of the late Henry H. Brewer, of Thompson township, died at her late home near Covalt, on Sunday, February 14, 1909, aged about 68 years. Funeral took place on Tuesday, and her remains were laid to rest in the graveyard at the Tonoloway Baptist church. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. A.G.B. Powers, of Needmore, and the funeral sermon was preached in the Tonoloway Baptist church.
Mrs. Brewer was a consistent member of the Christian church, and a woman of kindly traits of character, beloved by every one who knew her. She was a daughter of the late Henry Peck, who resided a short distance south of Needmore, and she is survived by one son, Clarence, and by two brothers, Denton Peck, of Thompson, and Alfred Peck of Belfast.
