Mrs. Jacine Hatley Little, age 89, formerly of Albemarle, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 22nd, 2011 at Hospice of Wake County/WDCC, Raleigh, NC.
Her funeral will be at 3 PM on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel and her family will receive friends from 1 PM to 2:45 PM just prior to the hour of service. Rev. Wayne Richardson and Rev. Reece English will officiate and burial will be in the Fairview Memorial Park.
Born August 14, 1922 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Little was the daughter of the late Jasper L. and Roberta "Bertie" Ussery Hatley.
She was educated at Efird school and was a retired employee of Richfield Mfg. Co. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and also a Junior High Sunday school teacher for many years. She also enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Little.
She is survived by one daughter: Patricia "Pat" Little Messick and husband J. Kent of Cary, NC; two grandchildren: Sherri L. Sutton and husband Douglas of Enka, NC, and Christopher K. Haire and wife Maria of Apex, NC; and four great-grandchildren: David F. Sutton, Michael D. Sutton, Johnathan W. Haire, and Elisa N. Haire.
