Mrs. Bradley was born in Guttenberg, N.J., June 12, 1914, a daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (McGuire) Dorr, and had been a Middlebury resident since 1946, having settled in Waterbury in her youth. She was educated in the Waterbury school system. She enjoyed knitting, but her most important part of her life revolved around her family.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Middlebury Convalescent Home for the wonderful care they provided to Helen during her stay there.
She leaves her children, two sons, Kevin Bradley of Maine, and Richard Bradley of Waterbury; two daughters, Barbara Hopson of Middlebury, and Susan Bradley of Prospect; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jeanne Nadeau.
Her funeral will be held today with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St. Friends are asked to meet at the church prior to the time of the Mass. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours.
