Obituary, Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home (Newport, NH), Jun 2011:

Newport, N. H., Ann L. Anderson (Crossman/Stremlau), 77, of East Mountain Road, left us peacefully in her sleep on June 20, 2011.

Ann was born July 1, 1933 in Claremont and is the youngest of five children and the daughter of the late Harold G. and Marjorie (Steven) Crossman. While attending Steven's High School in Claremont she was a Master Drum Majorette and graduated in the Class of 1951. Ann worked for the New England Telephone and Telegraph as an operator in Claremont and later in different parts of the state and country. This is where she met Kimberley and Paul's father and then husband, C Spencer Stremlau. After staying home with her children she started working at Concord Hospital. First on the switchboard then in Admitting, next she helped established the Insurance Coordinator position where she expanded and work in this position for many years, and lastly went to billing. She retired following 25 + years, but she could not sit idle and started working for the NH Liquor Commission. She was a past member of the Eastern Star and a Sister of the Rebecca's, a Girl Scout Leader, worked with the Cancer Association, and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Concord. She was a chaperone for many of her children's activities and never missed an event of theirs. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She met her Husband Henry 'Hank' while out dancing and came to share over 24 years together. While dancing Ann and Hank would ‘stop the show'. She enjoyed reading, playing cards (Solitaire), horses, raising dachshunds, and dancing.
