She was born in Morris, IL on June 3, 1918 to Edward and Anna Sampson Oswood.
She married Joseph A. Hollis in 1941 in Huntsville, AL, before he left to serve overseas in World War II.
Elouise is survived by her niece Wendy (Richard) Clark of Palm Desert and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1962, her parents, and five siblings: Earl, Gladys, Mandel, Myra and Vivien.
A memorial service was held at Hope Lutheran Church in Palm Desert. Prayer service and interment will be Saturday, March 8, 10:30 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, with Father David Palmatier, OSB, officiating.
The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice.
