Frederick was the third child born to Agnes (Lindsay) and Frederick Moody Robinson Jr. As a child he was a movie buff. He spent many hours and days at the movies during the height of the depression. He later graduated from the High School of Industrial Arts in New York City, and joined the Army. He served in the Nursing Corps. during the Korean War. During his lifetime, he held positions in various fields, including banking, retail accounting, and hotel service. He settled in Fullerton, California with his partner Bernard Weber in the late 1960's. Bernard died in 1986. The cause of Fred's death was due to complications from C.O.P.D.
