Charles A. Johnston
Charles A. Johnston, 70. retired
mail carrier, died at his
residence, Albany avenue extension,
town of, Ulster, Friday.
The funeral will be held at parlors
of A. Carr and Son, 1 Pearl
street Monday at 1:30 p. m.
Burial will be in Wiltwyck Cemetry.
Friends may call at the
parlors Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m.Mr. Johnston was a mail carrier
for 38 years. He retired
about 12 years ago. Surviving are
his wife, the former Jessie Roe;
two sons, John C. of this city
and Willis R. of Bedford Mass.;
a daughter, Mrs. George L. Berry
and his mother, Mrs. Florence
Johnston, both of this city; two
sisters, Mrs. Adam Busch and
Mrs. John Cole of Hurley and a
granddaughter. He was a member
of St. John's E p i s c o p al
Church and the National Association
of Retired Civil Employes.
