He was cremated and his ashes never claimed, gifts given to the funeral home allowed them to bury his ashes and the cremains of 11 other people. Section B. Garden of Eternal Light Lot 70 Grave 8, 9, and 10 with 4 people being in each grave.
Willis was one of 49 people whose cremains were never claimed. These people are not related but they have been placed in a burial ground in Rivermonte Cemetery together. Not any family at the service for them. Caretakers of the cremains were there. Staff members of the funeral service, owners of the mortuary service and journalists. Heads bowed sang "Amazing Grace." Some of those folks waited as long as 15 years to be layed to rest. Ones said to be a possible artist, another one suspected cereal killer.
Although family never said goodbyes in a service I hope all who stop by can leave a flower for them. Perhaps someone could even stop by the cemetery on one of the remembrance days with a real flower.
