18th Regiment Infantry Regular Army
Amos' name is on the side of brother Uriah Fleagle's grave. I have reason to believe that he is not buried here, but buried in an Unknown grave at Stones River National Cemetery. He was mortally wounded at the Battle of Stones River, and unknowingly, a fellow soldier agreed to take his personal effects and return them to his family in MD. This left him without identification when he was taken to a hospital and finally succumbed to his wounds.
