Madeline E. Hylton Deskins

Madeline E. Hylton Deskins, age 85, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 at her daughter's residence in Colorado Springs, Colorado following a short illness.

She was born July 10, 1926 in Buchanan County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Rose Hylton. She had lived in Colorado for the past five months and had previously resided in Willoughby, Ohio for 37 years. She was an assembler and worked at Ardack in Willoughby, Ohio for several years and previously at RIC Fibers in Painesville, Oho for many years. She attended Calvary Assembly in Willoughby and was a former member of The Church of God in Mentor, Ohio. She will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family and her love for the Lord Jesus Christ. Mrs. Deskins enjoyed cooking, baking, her family and friends, and taking care of her home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Daris D. Deskins in 2005, one daughter, Barbara Ann Deskins in 1948, and five brothers, Henry, John Lewis, Eugene, Elmer and Leon Hylton.

Connie Deskins and husband, Mark O'Donnell of Colorado Springs, Colorado

One Sister, Georgie Powers of Pineville, West Virginia

One Brother, Billy Hylton of Buchanan County, Virginia

Three Grandsons and three Great Grandchildren

Funeral services for Mrs. Madeline E. Hylton Deskins will be conducted Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 12:00 pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Dan DeLembo and Rev. Carlton King officating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Friends may call from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm on Saturday at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
