Oley E. Agard was born in Eureka May 13, 1907, and passed away in Springfield, Missouri on June 11, 1946.
He received his education in the Eureka schools. He first engaged in farming and then took up electrical work. He took government training in electrical welding and received presidential honors for the excellent work he performed as an electrical welder, and electrician.
For the past six months, he had been employed at Springfield, Missouri, for the Municipal Gas and Light Company. It was while at work that he was fatally injured.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Mrs. Oley (Lucille) Agard, his stepdaughter Rita Cook, both of the home; his father, Robert Agard of Climax; and his brother, Roy Agard, of Eureka; five nephews, two nieces; numerous relatives of his wife; and many friends. Funeral service was conducted Saturday June 15, at the Congregational Church (Eureka) by M. Lawrence Deever.
Burial was held at the Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka.
