2000 Jan 12 Wed p.C4 MOORE -- W.C. Adair Sr., 81, of 106 Sorrento Drive died Jan. 11, 2000, in Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson. He was the widower of Sara Gore Adair. Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
2000 Jan 13 Thu p.A8 W. C. Adair, Sr., 81, formerly of 106 Sorrento Drive in Moore, died January 11, 2000 in Anderson Area Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg, he was the husband of the late Sara Gore Adair, and son of the late E.T. and Daisy Dixon Adair. He owned and operated Adair Music Company and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church of Spartanburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in WWII. Survivors include a son, Wayne C. "Bo" Adair, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Alex Adair of Moore; one grandson, Matt C. Adair of Toms River, NJ; one sister, Grace Byrd of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Wayne C. Adair, III. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1pm., Friday, January 14, 2000 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral service will follow Friday, at 1:00pm at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by Dr. Kirk H. Neely and Dr. James L. Jackson. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to: Morningside Baptist Church Building Fund, 897 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, S.C. 29302. Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
