Forest City, NC - Jonas Adam Allen died at his residence in Alexander, NC, early Sunday morning, June 7, 1964, following a lengthy illness. Native of Rutherford County, NC and son of the late Adam and Ann Ferguson Allen. Member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors included: his wife, Mrs. Iola Justice Allen; one son, Joshua Justice Allen of Rutherfordton, NC; six brothers, Glenn, Jay, and Ben, all of Morganton, NC, James, Howard and Ruben Allen, all of Forest City, NC; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Holston of Jacksonville, FL and Mrs. Calvin Horsley of Carrolton, GA and Mrs. Grace Godfrey of Forest City, NC and two grandchildren. He was 66 years of age at demise with interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
