LAMAR - William "Little Bill" Amerson, Jr., age 42, died suddenly at his home Friday, September 2, 2011. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Newman Swamp United Methodist Church with burial following Windhamtown Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home, Lamar Chapel.

"Little Bill" was born in Florence County, son of William and Nellie Windham Amerson. He attended USC, Francis Marion University and was an avid Gamecock and Lamar Silver Fox fan. He enjoyed fishing and duck hunting.

"Little Bill" coached girls' recreational softball and was a Mason, Shriner and member of Newman Swamp United Methodist Church. He was a loving son, brother and the best husband and father.

Surviving in addition to his parents of Lamar, are his wife, Blythe T. Amerson of Lamar; three daughters: Bailee Twedell, Peyton Twedell and Sailor Twedell, all of the home; one sister, Kathy (Jimmy) Pratt of Columbia; a niece, Peyton Pratt and nephew, Tripp Pratt, both of Columbia; also, his father and mother-in-law, David and Beth Twedell of Florence.

Memorials are suggested to Lamar Booster Club (designated to the Girls' High School Softball Team, c/o Lamar High School, 216 N. Darlington Avenue, Lamar, SC 29069 and Newman Swamp United Methodist Church, c/o Sherry Rollings, 937 Windhamtown Road, Lamar, SC 29069.
