The family has been told J D was buried in the same cemetery as his sister Abbie Reese in an unmarked grave. At this time, there is no proof. His death certificate states he was buried in Cameron, Tx. His parents; Dr. John C & Sarah Jane Williamson Womack are both suppose to be buried at Cameron, Milam Co, Tx, and he may be buried with them.

Minnie & David divorced and he moved to the San Antonio, Texas area to become a U S Marshall, leaving his family behind.

DEATH OF J. D. WOMACK

J. D. Womack, Sen., died at Whitsett, Texas at 12:45 today (Friday. Dec. 15, 1916) according to telegrams received by his son-in-law, Ed H. Burke of this city this afternoon. The funeral will be held in Cameron, Texas, on Sunday. No particulars as to the cause of his death were given.

Mr. Womack formerly resided in Norman and was the father of Mrs. Emma Burke, J. D. Womack, Jr., "Dobe" Womack and Mrs. Charlie Meek. He was also an uncle of Mrs. Mack Harvey of this city. He was in the grocery business here and later removed to San Antonio, Texas where he was connected with the U. S. Secret Service. He was an esteemed and respected citizen, and the sympathy of the community will go out to the bereaved children.
