Folk Figure. At the age of 5, on April 14, 1865, he witnessed the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, by John Wilkes Booth, at Ford's Theater in Washington, D.C., while he watched "Our American Cousin." He died on April 13, 1956, at the age of 96, in Baltimore, Maryland, and he was the last surviving witness to Lincoln's assassination.

Mr. Samuel J. Seymour appeared on the "I've Got A Secret" tv show on Feb. 8, 1956 at the age of 95 years old. He passed away two months later.
