She began modeling in her teens, and began her professional career in her early twenties after posing for Glamour, McCalls (before it became Rosie), Cosmopolitan, and Blair as well as other fashion magazines and catalogues. She retired from modeling after being diagnosed with breast cancer and moved back to her home in Missouri where she died at the age of 42.
