Simonita M. Armijo, age 88, a resident of Peña Blanca, NM, passed away on April 1, 2003.
Simonita the beloved mother to Lydia Quintana and her husband, Ruben, Sara Trujillo and her husband, Freddie, Margie Romero and Bennie, Dorella Solis, Jimmy Armijo and his wife, Theresa, Theresa Baca and her husband, Herman and Gloria García and her husband, Gilbert. Simonita is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Nazarita Montoya and Patsy Montoya, 19 children, 31 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Simonita was preceded in death by her husband, Santiago Armijo, three grandchildren, Angela, Danny and Richard.
Simonita was a member of the Catholic Church.
A visitation for Mrs. Armijo will be on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peña Blanca with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by the Blue Army. A final visitation will be on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Gudalupe Catholic Church in Peña Blanca with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Peña Blanca Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vincent Ruiz, Andrew Trujillo, Orlando Sánchez, Lawrence Anaya, Jimmy J. Armijo, Melvin Sedillo and James García. Honorary pallbearer will be Anthony Aragón.
