LANCASTER, S.C. – Cleo Mize Alexander, 88, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at her residence.
Born on July 15, 1922, in Commerce, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Emma Mize. She was a homemaker and a member of Madison Street Baptist Church in Commerce. Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Alexander.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Bill Herrington, Lancaster, S.C.; granddaughter, Stephanie Herrington, Lancaster, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Mary L. Bruce, Commerce, the wife of the late Caudius Bruce.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held Saturday, April 2, at 1 p.m., at the Howington Cemetery in Nicholson with the Rev. David Harbin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 154 Amendment Ave., Suite 105, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
