"Atterberry died Friday morning in a Weaverville hospital of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Tuesday in which his cousin, Raymond V. Abshier, 21, of Paradise was killed.
"Atterberry was born August 15, 1927, in Durham and attended schools in this area. He lived in Paradise for some time and was a veteran of World War II. He served two and a half years in Germany.
"Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Atterberry of Weaverville, the following sister and brothers, Peggy, Donald, Paul, Robert, David, Larry and Tommy, all of Weaverville.
"Services will be conducted by Rev. David Weitzel of the First Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Paradise Cemetery."
