He was the son of Josiah Mack and Abigail [Peterson or Peters] of Hebron, born there 29 May 1732 [Hebron vital record]. The other John Mack, son of Jonathan Mack and Sarah [Bennett] was born in Lyme 15 January 1735-6 [Lyme vital record]. He was still living in 1768; he married Sarah [Beckwith] Peck, widow of Nathan Peck and daughter of Joseph Beckwith of Hadlyme, CT
