He was born May 24, 1886 in Watauga County to Larkin and Betty Wellborn Watson. Mrs. Greene was a member of Mission Home Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, three daughters, one brother, two sisters, 25 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. at Kelley Memorial Chapel. The body will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. Officiating will be Reverends Jack Miller and Gwyn Blackburn. Burial will follow in the Laurel Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements.
