KOSCIUSKO — Pauline Tyler Patterson, 94, of Cordova, TN, formerly of Winona and the Shady Grove Community, died Aug. 21, 2011 at Memphis Jewish Home and Rehab in Cordova.
Visitation is Friday, Aug. 26, 1-2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home with funeral services at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 6, 1917 in Carroll County, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Mississippi State University. She was a teacher in the public school systems in Mississippi, Florida, and Texas. She relocated to the Memphis area in 1996 to be closer to her family and since then had lived in Memphis, Cordova, and Germantown, TN. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include son, Roy Patterson Jr. and wife, Joan of Germantown, TN; grandson, James Tyler Patterson of Memphis; nephew, Truman Channell and wife, Nell, of El Dorado, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Patterson Sr.; parents, Joe and Maude Tyler; and sisters, Lynn Howard and Jo Lambertus.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army, the Memphis Jewish Home or the charity of your choice.
