The Berne native retired in 1972 as a librarian for Allen County Schools and was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Werner; a daughter, Linda Richards of Fort Wayne; a son, James of Indianapolis; a sister, Bina Winkelmann of Chula Vista, Calif.; brothers, Alfred Ray of Forest Grove, Ore., Cecil Ray of Hemet, Calif., and Chester Ray of Fort Wayne; and six grandchildren.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, where calling is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
