Frances J. "Fran" Berner of Waukesha died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at Tudor Oaks Health Care in Muskego at age 90. Fran was born April 30, 1916, in Waukesha, the daughter of Frank and Mary (nee Price) Kohler.
Fran married Laurence Berner on July 2, 1938. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, worked at Waukesha Motor and then retired from Delzer Lithograph in 1968. Fran and her husband, Laurence, resided in Englewood, Fla., for 20 years. Laurence preceded her in death Aug. 27, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers and two sisters.
Fran will be sadly missed by her children, Bryce (Renee) Berner of Kalispell, Mont., and Kathleen Keller of Wind Lake; grandchildren, Debbie (John) Chapman, Joe (Lynne) Keller, Susan (Richard) Klabunde, Jeff Berner and Cheryl (Michael) Kaye; great-grandchildren, Robert (Giselle), Chris (Janelle), Kali, Heather, Rebecca, Mathew, Thomas, Timmy, Megan, Katie, Alexis and Samantha; great-great grandchildren, Jordan, Trevor and Tyler; brother-in-law, Cullen Casey; and sisters-in-law, Mary Wright, Eleanore Berner, Madeline (Ralph) Johnston and Eileen (Bob) Mathis. Fran is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
