Obituary of Mildred E. Bryant

Mildred E. Bryant passed away Wednesday morning, August 17, 2011 of congestive heart failure at her home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born June 30, 1926 in Mt. Victory, Ohio.

Mildred graduated from Bowling Green University in Ohio and worked in Washington D.C. during World War II. She moved to San Antonio, Texas, where she met her future husband. She retired as a school teacher with the San Antonio school district.

The family moved to Hattiesburg in 2005, just prior to Hurricane Katrina, where they joined the Episcopal Church of the Ascension.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Phillip Ealy; brothers, Bruce, Don, Jack, Vernon, Phillip and Sam Ealy.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Leonard Bryant; a daughter, Dr. Beverly Bryant and husband, Stuart Snyder; grandsons, Matthew and Phillip Snyder; caregiver, Dora Saucedo, all of Hattiesburg; a sister, Vivian Dodd of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:30- 8 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Episcopal Church of the Ascension followed by entombment in Chapel of Memories Mausoleum in Roseland Park Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Dubard School for Language Disorders, 118 College Dr. #5215, Hattiesburg, Miss. 39406.
