Mrs. Olga Banzhaf, daughter of Julius Herman and his wife, Henrietta Newman, was born in Hanover, Germany on May 3, 1878. She came to this country in 1895 at the age of 17. On March 31, 1896 she was united in marriage with Carl Banzhaf. To this union nine sons and five daughters were born.

The couple lived at Garland until 1914 when they moved to Rock River, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1945, and by a daughter, Selma, in 1918.
Mrs. Banzhaf died on July 1, 1958 at the Invanson Convalescent Hospital in Laramie, Wyoming, having attained the age of 80 years.

Survivors include 13 childen, 9 sons, Werner of Wheatridge, Colo., Alfred, Harold, Walter and Theodore of Rock River, Wyoming, Roland of Walcott, Wyo., Herbert and Rudolph of Denver; 4 daughters, Mrs. Erna Nelson of Greeley, Colo., Mrs. Ella Jones of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Frieda Lass of Arvada, Colorado, and Mrs. Leta Burrows of Portland, Oregon; 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral serivces were held Monday, July 7, at St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Leonard Heidemann officiating. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
