PINEVILLE BOY STRUCK BY TRAIN, INSTANTLY KILLED

PINEVILLE, Nov. 18 -

James Atkins of this city, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Atkins, was instantly killed yesterday afternoon at Appalachia. He was getting on a passenger train at that place when another train going in the opposite direction struck him, killing him instantly. The boy was a cripple from infantile paralysis.

The body was brought home this morning and will be buried tomorrow morning at Wallsend cemetery. James Atkins is survived by his father, mother, two sisters and four brothers. His father is W.T. Atkins who killed Albert Williams at Dorton's Branch in September.
