Coy Ray Abbott was born
January 4, 1921 and departed
this life January 13, 1983
being 62 years of age. He
was the son of George and
Artie Abbott.

He was united in marriage
on February 17, 1940 to Nella
Mae Alton, who survives
him. To this union one
daughter was born.

Surviving him is his
daughter, Betty Corder of
Monticello; one grandson,
Donovan Corder of Monticello;
four brothers, James
and Roy Abbott of Monticello,
Robert Abbott of
Ritner, and Obie Abbott of
Peoria, Illinois; two sisters,
Dorothy Coffey of Monticello
and Minnie Vaughn of
Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was preceded in death
by his mother and father, two
brothers Claude and Elmer
Abbott and one sister, Lona
Abbott.

He was a faithful member of
the Steubenville Baptist
Church. He was a loving
husband and father and will
be sadly missed by all who
knew him.

Funeral services were held
Sunday, January 16, 1983 at
2 00 p m at Steubenville
Baptist Church with Brother
Robert Spradlin and Brother
Ronald Riley officiating.

Burial was in the Elk Spring
Cemetery.
