Marian Louise McCartt, 80, a resident of New Castle, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at Henry County Memorial Hospital, Following a long illness.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Macer-Hall Funeral Home Inc., 600 South Main St., New Castle, Ind., with the Rev. Leonard Dice officiating. Burial was in Green Hills Memory Gardens.

Born Apr. 19, 1919, in Whitley City, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Brice and Ethel Stephens Privett. She had been a resident of New Castle since 1951; was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Stearns.

Preceding her in death were her parents and an infant brother, DeLynn Privett.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Vernon McCartt, New Castle, whom she married May 2, 1938; two sons, Bobby (and Nancy) McCartt, New Castle, Ind., and Carroll B. (and Pat) McCartt, Mount Summit, Ind..; six grandchildren, Megan (and Mick) Wright, South Bend Ind., Craig (and Amy) McCartt, Indianapolis, Collin McCartt, a student at Franklin College, Franklin, Ind., Mysia (and Todd) Brown, Mooreland, Ind., and Heather (and Jason) Bailey, Newburg, Ind.; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Estil (and Nancy) Privett, Texarkana, Texas; a niece; and two nephews.

Macer-Hall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
