MADISON [Madison Co.]—Wayne Alford, 54, a floor tile inspector, died of cancer Friday at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Services are 3 p.m. today at North Bend Pentecostal Church in Philadelphia with burial in the church cemetery. McClain–Hays Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
Mr. Alford was a native of the Bond community in Neshoba County. He moved to Jackson in 1978. He had lived in Madison for 6 years. He was a member of Parkway Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include: wife, Diane; daughters, Lisa Cameron of Brandon and Ashley Alford of Madison; parents, Tom and Hildred Alford of Philadelphia; brothers, Sonny Alford of Louisville, the Rev. Benny Alford of DeKalb, Larry Alford of Madison, Joel Alford of Grand Bay, Ala., and John Alford of Philadelphia; sisters, Faye Anthony, Janet Fulton, and Peggy Branning, all of Philadelphia, Nellie Cooksey of Meridian, and Rachel Russell and Nancy Kilgore, both of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren.
