KATHARINA "KATHI" JONES, 89, longtime resident of Bacliff, Texas, passed away August 2, 2011. She was born June 2, 1922 in MZ-Gustavsburg, Germany to parents, John B. Zimmerman and Christina Zimmerman. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Bacliff for thirty-two years, and a member of the Bacliff Community Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis D. Jones and sister, Margaret Kirschner. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Valerie Hooker, Martha Carpenter, and Mary Donelson; nephews, Thomas Jones, John Odis Cobb and wife Barbara, Lynn Jones and Milton Jones; and cousin Gonther F. Klein and wife Joyce. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Houston National Cemetery in Houston.
