Bill Cross, 65, of Conway, went to be with his Lord, Friday, August 5, 2011 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born, Wednesday, July 10, 1946 in Locksburg, Arkansas to the late Willie Martin Cross and the late Josey Ellen Priest Cross.
He lived there till he was 17 years old. Then he moved to Midland, Texas, where he worked for El Paso Natural Gas Company in Goldsmith, Texas for awhile. He then got his commercial drivers license and became a truck driver. He saw the world in his truck.
He then moved to Oklahoma where he met and married Jo Ann Quattlebaum Foshee Coffey on July 30, 1982. They moved to Conway where he worked for Virco and Wal-Mart driving a truck.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William Martin; two brothers, Otis and Virgil Cross; two sisters, Lorene Emerson Clugman and Elizabeth Cox; a step-son, Cauley Shane Coffey; and one great-grandson, Cameron Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jo Ann QuattlebaumFoshee Coffey Cross; three daughters, Amy Schutt of Greenfield, Indiana, Tammy Villanueva and husband Stephen of Midland, Texas and Shelley Cross and husband Doug Williamson of Vilonia, Arkansas; step-daughter, Shawn Coffey Colter and her husband David of Conway; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Barbara Foshee; 11 granddaughters and 4 grandsons; 3 great-grandsons and 4 great-granddaughters.
Funeral service will be Monday, August 8, 2011 at 1:00PM in the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Conway.
Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, August 7, 2011, 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.
Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, for children's cancer research, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
