She was born Sept. 6, 1934, in Idaho Falls to Leora Scouten. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1952.
JoAnn married Merlin Floyd Samuelson in Blackfoot in August 1953. They were later divorced.
JoAnn was a secretary for the Blackfoot School District and worked for Nonpareil and King B. She enjoyed playing pool, crocheting, sewing, quilting and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Rodney (Lissa), of Twin Falls and Bonnie (Gary) Daley, of Alpine, Wyo.; mother, Leora Scouten, of Salmon, Idaho; sisters, Leona Wray of Blackfoot, Sharon Dutton, of Salmon and Judy (Bill) Fayle, of Shelley; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
According to her wishes, cremation services will take place under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home and no further services will take place.
