Funeral services for Joe M. Gatewood, 41, a resident of 1961 Shady Lane Drive will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday from Wright & Ferguson Chapel with Dr. Joe H. Tuten officiating. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Gatewood died Tuesday after an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Gatewood was a native of Scott County and had made his home in Jackson for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Pearl Lodge, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Bobbye Tadlock, two sons, Toby Michael Gatewood and Jeffrey Joe Gatewood, both of Jackson, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Josie Gatewood, Forest, two sisters, Mrs. Chris Dixon of Forest and Mrs. Johnny Stringer of Gulfport; one brother, Jolly R. Gatewood of Brunswick, Maine.
Pallbearers will be John Kimbrell, Glen Perkins, Omar Gatewood, Jake Brown, Chris Dixon and Bobby Fleming.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Pearl Lodge, No. 12 F. & A.M.
