Mrs. Alice Maude Batdorf, 84, of Pottsville St., Wiconisco, widow of Solomon Peter Batdorf, died Saturday in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Umholtz, of 547 Main Street, Lykens.
Mrs. Batdorf, born in Whales, was a daughter of the late Matthew and Sarah Tippens Williams.
She was a charter member of Congregational Evangelical Church at Wiconisco.
Surviving are three son: Joseph of Atlanta, Ga., Harvey of Easton and Lawrence of Wiconisco; three daughters: Mrs. Esther Sichler of Lansing, Mich., Mrs. Beatrice Umholtz of Lykens and Mrs. Florence King of Voorheesville, N. Y.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Carl Fetterhoff will officiate at services. Interment will be in Wiconisco Cemetery. Schaffstall Funeral Home, Lykens, is in charge of arrangements.
