Leola "Lee" Morris Altman, 81, widow of Richard Elton Altman, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.

Mrs. Altman was born in Williamsburg Co. near Andrews on April 20, 1930, a daughter of the late John Marion Morris and Elizabeth Sports Morris. She was a graduate of Andrews High School and attended business school in Columbia. Mrs. Altman was owner of Punkin' Shell Day School in Georgetown until her retirement. She was Charter Member of Wayne United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women.

Surviving are: two sons, Larry E Altman (Cathy) of Surfside Beach and R. Ronald "Ronnie" Altman (Zena) of Georgetown; three brothers, Ollie Morris and Eddie Morris, both of Andrews, and Laurie Morris of Hemingway; a sister, Lydia Gambone of Bakersfield, Calif.; five grandchildren Brett Camlin (Charlie), Mandi Altman (Shawn DePenning), Richie Altman (Heather), Roxie Richardson (Jimmy), and Leanne Munn (Wes); and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be ten o'clock Friday morning, August 5, 2011, at Wayne United Methodist Church in Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Danny Chamblee. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home, Thursday evening, August 4, 2011 from six until eight.
