J. Elaine Adkins, Sept. 3, 1926-April 27, 2011, resident of Cupertino/Sunnyvale. Born and raised in Williston N.D., Elaine traveled by train to San Francisco, CA, at age 19 where she made life long friends, met and married James R. Adkins, a minister with the Assemblies of God. They were married for 56 years before his death in October, 2008. A woman of faith and enthusiasm, Elaine never knew a stranger. Her hospitality provided many wonderful memories for all who knew her. She leaves behind her children Pat Adkins Robinson (Randy), and Carol Adkins Johnson (Mark), her grandchildren, Cole, Brandt, and Paige Robinson and Ericka Green. Services were held Friday, April 29th. Donations may be made to Bethany University, Scotts Valley, CA95060-2896 or Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Mt View, CA 94040 Attn: Philanthropy Dept.
