Anna M. Aiken, 87, died Wednesday in Massena Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Aiken was a cook in the cafeteria at St. Lawrence Central School until her retirement in September 1974, and served as an elections inspector.

Born Sept. 14, 1916, in Massena, daughter of John and Rose Mandish Kish, she attended schools in Massena. She married Edwin M. Aiken on Dec. 7, 1940, at St. Mary's Church, Massena, with the Rev. John Bellamy officiating. Mr. Aiken died Oct. 23, 1991.

She was a founder and president of Non-Teaching Employees Association Union at St. Lawrence Central School and a member of the Church of the Visitation Altar and Rosary Society, Norfolk. She enjoyed flowers and knitting.

A son, Harold Richard, died in 1954, and a brother, John Kish, died in 1978.

A funeral Mass was held at the Church of the Visitation with the Revs. Jack Downs and Andrew J. Amyot officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
