Hugh Sizemore was the third child of Kern M. and Sarah Stapleton Sizemore. His exact birthdate has not been found but a framed family memorial was created at some time after his death stating that he was 6 years and 1 month old when he died on 10 Sept. 1887. His cause of death is unknown but diptheria and pneumonia were the most common killers of the young back then.
It was only after the recent discovery of the above mentioned framed memorial that it became known that Hugh and older brother Hillery had an older unnamed infant brother who only lived for one day after he was born in Dec. 1876. Although Hugh has a grave documented within the Sizemore Cemetery, it's location has not been verified. No grave has been located for the older unnamed infant brother.
